Tale'. Issued by the British Post Office in October 1999. The Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 is a famous victory of Robert Bruce and his 8000 troops over the 20,000 army of Edward II resulting in the surrender of Stirling Castle and eventually leading to the recognition of Scottish independence. |
